Level placement is based on past experience and possible placement audition.
Musical Theatre at Jansen Dance Project
Our Musical Theatre program offers technique classes in Voice, Acting, Ballet, Jazz, and Tap.
Divided into 4 divisions; Primary Musical Theatre 1, Primary Musical Theatre 2, Intermediate Musical Theatre, and Advanced Musical Theatre.
All students are required to take ballet and jazz along with their musical theatre classes.

Levels 1 - Primary Musical Theatre 1
This division offers proper technique classes in Voice, Acting, Ballet, Jazz and Tap for students in grades K-2

Level 2 - Primary Musical Theatre 2
Our Level 2 division is made up of the students in grades 3-5 who have a high interest in Musical Theatre performance. This level meets twice a week (3 hours a week) and will be involved in 3 mainstage musicals each year.

Level 3 - Intermediate Musical Theatre
Our Level 3 division is made up of the students in grades 6-8 who have hopes to pursue performing arts in high school and beyond. This level meets twice a week (4 hours a week) and will perform in 3 mainstage musicals each year. One may register for this division upon approval by the director.

Level 4 - Advanced Musical Theatre
Our Level 4 division is made up of the students in grades 9-12 who have hopes to pursue performing arts in college and professionally. This level meets 3-4 times a week depending on the student's training needs. Students will perform in 3 mainstage musicals each year. One may register for this division upon approval by the director.

Creative Movement
This program introduces students ages 2.5-4 years of age to the Art of Ballet. Basic dance and movement will be taught to all students to prepare them for other dance styles in Level 1.
