Guidelines
Class Etiquette
It is important for all dancers to be ready and prepared for class!
- Hair needs to be secured off of the neck in a bun for ballet. For all other art forms, hair needs to be out of the face in either a ponytail or braids.
- Please arrive to class on time! Late students disrupt class and miss the most important part: the WARM-UP!
- No food, drinks, candy or gum are permitted in the dance studio. This is a very important safety rule to discuss with your dancer.
- Jewelry and/or watches are not to be worn during class.
- JDP is not responsible for lost or stolen valuables.
Always respect yourself, your peers, and especially your teachers! Always try your best and most important, have fun!!
Class Attendance
Students are expected to attend class consistently. Each class builds upon the previous week’s work. A student’s interest and progress is directly related to good attendance. Missed classes may be made up during the year in the same level or a level lower. Please ask the instructor about make-up classes, if needed.
