JDP Spring 2009 Student Performances

“Cinderella” and “A Tribute to Broadway” May 2-3, 2009 | 2pm | University of South Florida, Theatre I
Jansen Dance Project invites you to its Spring 2009 student production of Cinderella and A Tribute to Broadway! The show will begin with Cinderella, the classic storybook Ballet, featuring Judson Veach from Columbus Dance Theatre, Della Thompson from Bay Area Dance Company and our talented Ballet students. Act II celebrates Broadway with our Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop and Modern students performing to music from A Chorus Line, 42nd Street and The Lion King. Tickets Tickets will go on sale starting Monday, April 13th for $15 each (plus applicable service charge if purchased through Ticketmaster) and can be purchased via www.ticketmaster.com or for a limited time only at the JDP box office (813.979.2222) between April 13th and April 25th. Note Seating in the USF Theatre is assigned. In order to give you the opportunity to purchase tickets without having to pay the extra service charge, we will be selling the best seats in the house from the JDP box office for a limited time only (April 13-25th). Otherwise, families must purchase tickets via Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or the USF box office the day of the show (please note that families who wait to purchase tickets until the day of the show run the risk of not being able to get seats together or get the best view of the stage).
Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” May 15-16, 2009 | 7pm | St. Andrew Church (located across the street from JDP)
Performed by JDP’s Musical Theater students, the Razzle Dazzle Kids, and directed by Tracy Crews, this will be an exciting event for the whole family to enjoy! Come and watch the story of Alice in Wonderland be brought to life through acting, music and dance. “Land of the Fairies” is the special production of JDP’s Creative Movement classes and will showcase some of the fun things they have been learning throughout the year!
